Green Monday: Honda Element

I know it's been awhile since I posted my last entry. I have been very busy lately that I couldn't find time to update all my blog regularly all at the same time. With the school activities, and doctor's appointment, our life is like a chaos. Good thing before going to bed, I remembered that I need to join this meme again...so here it is.

The photos are taken during our camping trip at Shenandoah Mountain in VA. We had fun driving this Honda Element car whcih we sold right before our move to TX.

Me with our Honda Element car during one of our trip to one of VA's Sate Park.
Here it is again; sold this car before we moved back to TX :-/; I miss this car so much!

Easter Egg Hunting with Mommy and Jake

About two weeks ago, my friend and I went egg hunting here in our neighborhood with our boys. We had a blast especially the boys for the got to play together, joined the games and activities, and get some eggs.

Jake with his friend and classmate, Aaron....before the egg hunting time.
Mommy posed with the Easter Bunny, too!
They didn't find the 'gold' egg though. Disappointed, yes they were, but still happy.

After the egg hunting, Jake and I went to eat our lunch at Chick Fillet and then shopped at nearby Walmart. As you can see, he enjoyed the chicken nuggets and waffle fries. I filled myself up with soup and fruits.

We Love The Freschetta By The Slice Pizza!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FRESCHETTA®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Thanks to the makers of Freschetta pizza for giving me the chance to try their new Freschetta By the Slice pizza. I tell you, this pizza is so good! I love the 6 piece storage set, too :-)! And they are all free! Okay, here is my verdict; please read on...

As I always say, pizza night is Friday night at our home. Just now, my son and I had FRESCHETTA® By the Slice which is oh so good! I baked two of them in the oven for 18 minutes and gobbled them like we never have eaten pizza before. And for the first time, my son ate the whole thing. Normally, he doesn't eat the crust, but this time he ate it because he said it is very yummy! He had the Six Cheese medley and I had the Vegetable medley. I love it...for the crust is very crunchy and oh the sauce is very tasty and the veggies are fresh and tasted sweet! at home, hubby and son love the thin crust...while I prefer the stuffed crust. But when I tasted the Freschetta By the Slice thin crust pizza, I started to like thin crust. Before when we order pizza, we always get two, one with a thin crust and the other one with either stuffed crust or the hand tossed crust. But with the Freschetta pizza or Freschetta by the slice, it is dif
ferent. The thin crust is very good!

The best thing I like about this Freschetta by the slice is that, I can satisfy my cravings for pizza without getting overboard with the who pizza itself, plus I can choose different variety of flavors, from Vegetable medley, six cheese medley, BBQ Recipe Chicken to Chicken, Spinach and Mushrooms. Isn't ot great!?

So, if you want to taste this very irresistible Freshetta by the slice pizza, you need to check them out on check out FRESCHETTA® on Twitter at @FreschettaPizza at www.facebook.com/freschettapizza.com. Hurry for this promo will end soon! And oh, you can get storage set, too free!

Cheese and Apple Sandwich

For those who have kids that goes to school I am sure you have the same problem like I have when it comes to preparing lunch for them. My son sometimes tells me that he gets bored with the sandwich I make for him. He is so burned up with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ham and cheese sandwich, bologna sandwich and so on. I am sorry, that is all I can think of. Then one day, while reading a magazine, I came across an article about lunch for kids. It talks about sandwiches that kids will surely love; one of my favorite is the 'cheese and apple sandwich.'

2 slices of bread (preferably multigrain, Italian, or French)
1 teaspoon whole-grain mustard
1 ounce thinly sliced cheddar
several pieces of thinly sliced apple

Directions:
Spread 2 slices of bread with whole-grain mustard. Top 1 slice with Cheddar and several pieces of apple. Sandwich with the remaining bread.
