Weekend House Hunting

This morning, as soon as we finished eating breakfast, we got ourselves ready for our weekend house hunting in Mesquite and Forth Worth, Texas. First we, went to Target because there was a reading activity for children. Jacob had lots of fun with snacks and book reading time with one of the school teacher. He listened well because he participated in question and answer portion of it. Right before we left, they gave each child who attended the said activity a little gift. Then, from there, we immediately went straight to KB homes Forth Worth and talked with the agent and toured their new houses. We like the house we saw as well as the price, but the problem is, the commute from there to Matt's work is like 45 to an hour one way. So, we decided not to buy a house there. We didn't realized it was very far than we thought it would be. The second was ate lunch at Filipino restaurant in Mesquite....afterward saw a real estate agent and loan officer. After talking with the loan officer, we decided to live in Mesquite after our lease is over which would be in June. Hope with that long span of time, we would be able to find the house of our dream. Wish us luck, guys :-)! Thanks!

No Win, No Fee!

This morning, I was talking to an acquaintance I met at the hospital whom at the same time happens to be working there. She is a nice gal who is in her late 40's. One time she offered me a job to work with her at the gift shop, but unfortunately, we happened to be moving out of state, so I didn't get the chance of working with her. Anyway, we happened to talked about accident and stuffs, and that reminds me of the car accident we had late last year. We had hard time dealing with the other party's insurance when talked with them about accident claim. It took about two months before they finally return our call. So, we decided to use our insurance instead where we got a "No win no fee!" Had we not done that, we are probably waiting for the claim to be processed. It is unbelievable how some insurance works. Some are slow and some are fast. Thank goodness we have an insurance company that we can rely on no matter how hard the circumstances are.

I Want to Own an RV!

When my husband and I first got married, once a year we go see his parents in New Mexico and sometimes, they go visit us. I really love my in-laws because they are so warm and loving people. We get along well since we are similar in many ways. Like for instance, they like nature, camping and traveling to new places. Husband and I do the same, too! The great thing about traveling, camping and stuffs like that is you get to appreciate the beauty of God's creations. Since my in-laws are already retired, they get to travel a lot and it is easy for them to do that because they own a recreational vehicle or rv. One time while they were in town visiting us, they asked us if we could drive them to rv parks and rv dealership. We said: we would love to...and so we took them to one of the rv dealership. We looked at some new rvs. I was amazed how this kind of vehicle is loaded with everything. It is like a little house! You can do almost everything you do at home. No wonder why my husband is dreaming to one day owes one. And I always tease him saying: maybe you'll get this when you win a lotto or something :-).

Jacob on Presidents Day...

This morning, when I woke my son up...he wasn't really happy. He said he needs more sleep. I gave him two choices for him to get up. First, stay on bed and go with us at my doctor's appointment this morning (he thought he would see the doctor himself) and second, get up and get ready for school. Of course, he chose the 2nd one over the other. This trick always works and I don't have to get mad or force him to do something he doesn't want to do :-). Talking about going to school, on the way to school father and son had this conversation which I think was so precious!

On the way to school, Matt took Bowser Rd; Jacob saw the church and said; hey, that's my church and started singing "I belong to the church of Jesus Christ." Daddy saw an American flag and said: Jacob there's the U S flag. Do you know that it is president day today? Jacob: yeah, I know. Daddy: it commemorates the birthday of 3 US Presidents...Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson; and Jacob added...and Pres. Monson :-). President Monson is our church leader.

Doctor's Appointment Tomorrow

It is good to be home after three days stay at the hospital. I missed the house, and most of all my son. So sad that he is sick and won't be able to go to school tomorrow. He also missed his first class presentation at school today. First, he was throwing up yesterday, coughing still, and now has fever because of his ear infection. I tried to convince him to go see the doctor with me tomorrow so he would feel better; first, I explained to him that the doctor is not going to give him a shot, but just check on his ears before he said, okay Mommy. He is now sleeping, but I can hear his difficulty on breathing. As for me, I need to see our doctor, for a referral to see an Endocrinologist for my diabetes. I am glad that Dr, Trieu is available tomorrow though I just phoned his office just this afternoon. Bad for hubby because he needs to drive us right after his night work tomorrow...which means "no sleep" till we get home from the clinic.
