Girls Talk: Women Over Men!

This week's theme: What women can do that men cannot!

~~ Women can bear a child, breast feed and not to mention the monthly cycle!

~~ Multi-tasking is definitely hard for men (based on my experienced with hubby). Women is good on that especially at home.

~~ What is it in men asking for direction or even help? I find it hard for my hubby to ask for these things.

~~ Behind the success of man is a woman...is definitely true!

~~ Women play hard to get. 'Never call a man unless he has called you 10 times within the last 24 hours.

Tidbits about Apple

Apples originated in Western Asia but are now grown in temperate climates throughout the world where there are warm days and cool nights. The different varieties of apples range in the thousands with each having its own unique color, shape, texture and flavor.

An Apple a Day

If one apple can do you good, how about a whole bushel? Take an apple-picking excursion with your family this fall and enjoy this succulent fruit to the fullest extent! Here are some tips to make your adventure “fruitful”:

Location: If you aren’t lucky enough to have your own apple trees, check out allboutapples.com to find an orchard near you.

Picking: Apples ripen from the outside of the tree in, so choose apples from the outermost branches. Make sure they are firm and bruise-free. Don’t pull the apple straight from the tree—instead, lift up and give it a little twist.

Snacks: Orchards often sell pie, cider, and, of course, apples, but there isn’t much else available, so make sure to bring bagged lunches and drinks. For a fun snack, bring a knife to slice apples, as well as toppings and spreads like caramel and
peanut butter.

(Did you know? Two pounds of apples make one 9-inch pie.)

Saturday 9: The Last Time

1. When was the last time you bought something for someone else, and what was it?
~~ Three days ago; a Polo Shirt for my son.
2. When was the last time you complimented someone, and what was their reaction?
~~ Just this morning, when I told my son that he did a good job drawing a Pumpkin. He was happy!
3. When was the last time you had to return a purchase to the store? What was it and why?
~~ Before the school starts, and it was some school supplies my son really didn't need.
4. When was the last time you had an ice cream cone?
~~ Last week; it was a frozen yogurt chocolate flavor.
5. When was the last time you had to go to the doctor's office?
~~ Wednesday, had my third session of iron infusion.
6. When was the last time you were embarrassed by something you did? What was it and what happened?
~~ I can't remember; but I am pretty sure I did at least one this year.
7. When was the last time a stranger was kind to you?
~~ Wednesday, when an old man ope the door for when at the doctor's office.
8. When was the last time you locked yourself out of your home? What did you do?
~~ About three years ago, it was raining and my son and I were out playing; I phoned my husband at work, good thing his work was less than 15 minutes away from our house.
9. When was the last time you thought about cheating (on anything, a test or a person)?
~~ Being honest is one thing I learned from my mother, and so I follow her example, plus I don't want to carry any guilt feeling inside me.

My Sweet Little Man...

This afternoon I had I terrible headache, though I promise my son that I will take him to McDonalds, he agreed not go instead. The thing is that he told me that I should see a doctor :-); and went to the bathroom wet his hands and massage my forehead with his tiny hands while asking me if I am feeling better already. After what he did, I felt much better already. Wouldn't you? I just hope he will never change; he is such a sweet little man...just like his Dad! That is why I love them so much!

How Can I Forget 9/11!

After being engage for a year with my fiancee' (Matt), we decided to tie a knot in the house of God. But the thing was that, we live millions of miles away from each other. He lives in Texas and I live in Malaysia. So, that means either one of us needs to travel a long way in order for our goal to happen. After much prayer and fasting, we decided that I go to where he lives and get married there. To start with, he needs to file an application for K-1 visa, which he patiently did. After six months, I got my visa and flew all the way from the other side of the world to U.S. of A. to be married with him. On the eight of September of 2001, I landed at LAX and met him there waiting. We stayed at my cousin's house in Costa Mesa, CA for three days before heading back to Texas.

On the day of our flight, we were saddened by a terrifying news about the Twin Tower in New York! Yes, that was the 9/11! The whole day that day was spent watching news on the television. As we all know, tons of our fellowmen died on the incident that forever changed the world! Many people also sacrificed a lot to help and save lives! Families lost their loved ones and friends as well. This event will forever remain in the hearts of many especially in the U.S. and around the globe. Yup, one week later, my fiancee' and I finally are sealed for all time and eternity in one of the temples of God in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
